Dell Order
I ordered 2 laptops online. Order # 2005705260971. I received a call from Dell's sales rep (heavy Indian accent). She told me she could offered me additional 3% discount and next day delivery. I was very happy. She then told me she has to cancel the original order and replace with new order. I told her whatever she need to do. She then told me she needs to recollect the payment. I said I don't feel comfortable to give her info over the phone. I later received an email cancellation and also another email for the quote. However, she changed my original laptop with more expensive laptop and also she removed another laptop. I told her NO, I need the original one. She then sent me another quote with one original and one with different model. I again, told her NO. I need her to put back the same models. She keeps insisted this is the same spec I have with better price. I was mad and told her don't waste my time and just put back my original order. She said the order already cancel. I called the Dell CS, again, you can heard very heavy Indian's access. The rep asked me a lot of unrelated qs, although I have provided my original order #. At the end, I have to end the call. I tried to order with LIVE CHAT, and again, another Indian's rep. I gave up. I have NO problem with Indians. However, I have problem because they don't understand the sales process and hard to understand with their heavy access. I can't understand why Dell can't have anyone from local to help. If no one from US to contact me within the next 24 hrs, I will have to purchase from other co. Thx.

XPS 15 9560 battery dimensions
Hi. I was on a chat with Dell and the rep and his supervisor told me that current XPS 15 9560 batteries 56Whr and 97Whr are both the same physical size. Therefore, they said, both will permit installation of a 2.5inch drive. I told them that the documentation shows that the 97Whr battery is physically bigger than the 56Whr battery. They claim that they have asked the documentation department to update the user manual to show that both batteries are the same size and will permit installation of a 2.5inch drive. Is this true?

Latitude E7470 Windows 7 or 10
I purchased my Latitude E7470 about a year ago and immediately upgraded to Windows 10. I used it for about half a year and started getting annoyed with a bunch of little things. Eventually I installed Linux and made Ubuntu my main OS, but there still things I have to go into Windows for.
I was considering re-installing Windows to fix some of the potential issues I've been having with it. I was considering installing Windows 7 again, but I wasn't sure if it's worth downgrading. Considering this model was made for 7 I thought it might run better.
I was wondering if anyone with my laptop has kept Windows 7 and could tell me how it feels. Also, I was wondering if anyone else who installed 10 has noticed it being laggier and more "annoying" then usual. Windows 10 on my desktop vs my Latitude are night and day when it comes to performance.

Monitors from D6000 dock turning off (Latitude 7280 using Ubuntu 16.04)
Every 1-2 hours (in random intervals, sometimes shorter) my two monitors stop getting a signal. If I unplug the dock they start working again. The keyboard and mouse still work though.
Hardware: Latitude 7280, D6000 dock, Dell monitors
Software: Ubuntu 16.04 (i3 window manager)
Initially the monitors didn't work at all, but started after I installed different graphics drivers (these ones)

After 6 -7 month of use your hinges gone. Dell India support say, this does not cover on warranty.here was no drop, spill or accidental damage done to the laptop.
Dell India support say it is due to usage. Please note laptop is meant to be use and not to keep on showcase. If your hinges broken with in 6 month, do you think next time the same user will ever look for a Dell laptop.
Either improve your quality in India or replaced your poor quality spare. Or else simple go away from India.
Our PM Mr Modi will not tolerate such poor quality service to Indian. I am going to take this matter to highest level. Please inform your India service to replace my hinges asap.

I have just brought a Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming 7567 with a PCI SSD hard disk, and wanted to add a 4TB 2.5 15mm hard disk as a second drive. will the 15mm fix the drive bay, I can not find any information on the the size of drive that the drive bay will hold ?

For my work I need to downgrade the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming 7567 which come with windows 10 to windows 7, but after about a year when all the software that I use for work will be updated to windows 10 then I like to re built with windows 10. Is this possible ?
Will the windows 10 product key in the BIOS be loss when I downgrade to windows 7 ?
Will I need a to buy a new windows 10 Key when I re-built the computer ?

Waking an XPS 15" 9560
So my first windows computer in a decade and I chose an XPS 15 9560. I primarily use it as a work machine - plugged in most of the time at the office. I will bring it home occasionally to work from the house, but primarily it is sitting on my desk.
When this laptop enters sleep mode, it appears that the only way you can wake it is by either repeatedly hitting keys on the keyboard (it sometimes works after about 10-15 seconds) or hitting the power button. When in clamshell mode, I have to open the computer and hit the power button and close it again. I have disabled hibernation mode in case anyone was wondering. All drivers and BIOS were updated to their most recent versions.
Here are some specifics of my setup:
- Microsoft Bluetooth External keyboard.
- Microsoft Wireless USB Mouse
- Dell TB 16 Dock w/ DisplayPort out to an external monitor *
* I recently bought the TB 16 in hopes it would correct this issue. It works flawlessly, but it does not solve the problem I am having with sleep mode. I was hoping this computer would work like a MacBook Pro in that when in clamshell mode, it acts as a desktop computer. No need to open and close it - it just works w/ all wireless devices and external monitor(s). When not in clamshell mode, A simple closing the screen would put it to sleep, and opening it would instantly wake it back up.
Is this possible in the Windows laptop world or is it just a Mac thing?
I am still in the return window, so I am wondering if the issue I am having is a general windows problem (would this happen on a Surface Book?) or an XPS 15 issue.

I have this laptop and it comes with a 2.4ghz wireless adapter. I see in the specs that it can come with a 5ghz ac adapter as well. I would like to upgrade it to the 5ghz adapter.

Several Question for Memory Upgrade Dell 7567 and other stuff
Hi,
This is my first question for Dell, I have been trying to call the 24x7 support for my questions but apparently it's closed. So here's my questions:
1. I want to buy a memory module from a third party seller, will that void my warranty?
a. Memory in my laptop is currently 4 gigs. Philippine seller's are quite cheap with regards to memory so there's that. LOL ($1000 for 4 gigs LOL) will different speeds affect memory? should I also buy a 2400 mhz one?
b.Different memory size: is it possible for a 12-gig config to exist? (same speed etc)
2. My computer is quite slow also, tried removing almost all background apps but when I play witcher 3, my computer just comes to a halt if I alt-tab. Is this a memory issue?
3. There's a ticking noise if I position the laptop at 45 degrees.
FINALLY.. hehehe, will opening my laptop cause warranty issues? Sellers here in the Philippines are quite stern with their warnings that opening the back panel causes the warranty to void.
