My Dell Latitude E7450 laptop has a serious issue: when there are more than one USB devices connected, I can't select which one to boot.
The boot menu shows only one "USB Storage Device" when there are 2 bootable USB flash devices connected, as shown below:
This is independently of UEFI/Legacy modes, I have tried _both_ with Secure Boot OFF!
Is there any BIOS tweak to enable multiple USB devices to be shown on the boot menu?

My laptop is on ****manufacture mode: level [67]**** and its says i should press fn-x to return the system to normal running mode then after a minute or less it says warning! Battery is critically low and then it tell me to hitf1 to continue but its not coming on when i do as it says what must i do to get it off please
When docking with the lid closed, I sometimes get unexpected results. For example, my external monitor will remain at the same resolution as the laptop (150% character size) or sometimes it will scale to what it should be (100%). When it doesn't scale down and uses the same display settings as the laptop, the resolution is still 1920x1080 but everything on screen is huge.
When opening the lid and closing it back again, it often resolves the issue and my external monitor goes black for a second and turns back on with the proper settings.
My question is, what settings should I use for the close lid. I currently have sleep for all of them. Should I select leave on when closing the lid?
Second question: When I dock my XPS, should the lid be open or closed or does it even matter. I just find that if I dock when the lid is open and then close the lid, the monitor resolution is ok. When docking with the lid closed, the monitor sometimes doesn't scale down as explained above.

I am currently upgrading a Raw Thrills Fast and Furious Drift arcade from a microtel pc to a Dell optiplex 740. I also upgraded the video card. I was able to run the three disks for the 3.04 version of the game. Everything seemed to going fine until I started the machine. I had also changed power settings in BIOS to power on after AC loss. The Dell powers on and enters an error screen, "The memory has changed" with options for continue and setup. When I continue it goes to another error, " Error loading operating system". I noticed that when the 1st game disk was run it said erasing hard drive. I figured that to be standard. But now I'm at a dead end on what to do next. Did running the disks erase the windows 10? Am I doing something wrong? And what would be the fix for this?

I am running Dell XPS 13 9360 with i5 and FHD display, the latest Win10 Home and the newest bios.
My idle temps range between 50-55 Celsius and working temps are up to 90-95 Celsius (flat solid desk under).
This started like two weeks ago.
These temps are too high and the notebook becomes very uncomfortable to work with even when idle.
Do you get similiar temps?
BTW my second issue is absolutely not working sleep, not going into sleep, still processing, only display goes dark.
I am satisfied with this notebook, but those problems are too serious for the price.

Every since I've gotten my laptop, I have been getting these 2 messages from Dell power manager. The first message says "Your System can no longer communicate with your battery" and the second message was "Your Battery is no longer functioning and needs to be replaced." I know there is nothing wrong with my battery but I still keep getting these messages. Any help is much appreciated!

I just replaced a standard keyboard with a brand new back-lit keyboard. Everything appears fine except the Ctrl keys do not work on the new keyboard. I have reset the new keyboard 3 times with no change and the old keyboard works just fine when reinstalled. Is this a hardware failure on the new keyboard or a setting?
My Dell Inspiron 5547 has the same problem./ The right side pops open once I open the laptop. It makes cracking sounds and the screw has gone through the body now.
I want Dell to recall the model and fix it for their clients. Why can't they own up to the fact that it is a manufacturing / design defect/flaw and take corrective action on it?
I am using Dell XPS 7000 series. And it has UEFI for booting. I want to make the external monitor as my primary. May i know if there is any way to do it.

I purchased my Dell from Staples and the description said that the memory is 8GB, 2400MHz, DDR4. Am I able to put in a 16GB 2400MHz, DDR4 with the 8GB or do they both have to be the same GB?
Guys, I'm looking to upgrade my stock ssd of 128 gb. I'm planning to upgrade it with a samsung 850 evo 500 gb. I've been told that it's compatible.
My laptop comes with dual drives, 128 gb m.2 ssd and 500 gb 5400 rpm hdd. Can I use the migration software to clone first my 128 gb ssd to the 500 gb hdd, then replace the existing ssd with the evo, then clone it back to the new ssd?

For my last Dell laptop I used "Acronis True Image Home 2011" to do this. I could boot to a thumb drive or CD and run the Acronis software from there. However, this does not work on my new laptop as the Acronis software does not recognize the PCIe drive. Can you recommend other software that I can use to do the backup ? Free or commercial software is ok. My laptop setup procedure is very complicated and time consuming, so I like to make a number of backups that I can restore to later. I prefer software that I can boot to on a thumb drive or CD in case Windows falls apart and I cant boot into Windows to run the restore operation.

I have a problem with my Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse Surface Edition constantly disconnecting from my PC. It works perfectly with my Lenovo and desktop PC yet will not play nicely with my Latitude. It works for a while and then stops working and I have to turn off bluetooth and pair it again.
I've updated all the bluetooth drivers and researched all the forums but so far no resolution.
Anyone had any similar problems that they have resolved?
For the last few months, my laptop will not boot after installing updates from Windows. It stays on the Dell BIOS screen until I press F12 and run diagnostics. It runs and finds nothing wrong, then I reboot again and the laptop boots fine. The updates appear to have been installed successfully. Any thoughts?
I installed a new hard drive and reinstalled windows 8 and downloaded all drivers from Dell. Then updated to windows 8.1. Everything works fine except the soft touch CD eject button does not work. I have read a few threads about this but have had no success. Help!
