Dell INSPIRON 17 5000 series keeps dropping internet even on Ethernet
Had a service center look at the issue and download new drivers, removed the spyware we were using (WEBROOT) and installed AVAST! - speeds (When it achieves connectivity) will not go above 60mbps - even in higher speed environments (at the service center they had closer to 200) WIFI is even slower @ 30 Mbps. Tech thinks it's a $500 doorstop. Opines???

Malfunctioning spacebar Inspiron 15
Sticking space bar
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000series,and, it's making me NUTS!
The spacebar isn't doing its job about 75% of the time. Seems to be the right side as opposed to the left side.
I have checked for hair, dust, crumbs, faeries etc .. nothing ..
If I pry off that puppy, am I going to forever regret it ?
I do believe I am under warranty of some sort ..

How can you tell if the wireless adapter is turned on or off on a Dell E5470?
My old Dell laptop had a light that turned on and off when you clicked on the wireless button, but I don't see it on the E5470.

XPS 15 Sleep - What Should I Expect?
I've just got a new XPS 15. My daily system is (and will continue to be) a MacBook Pro. The MacBook has sleep down pat. Close it and then open it, even 3 days later, and you're exactly where you were when you left off.
With the XPS, sometimes it sleeps and I use the fingerprint reader to get back. Sometimes it powers off and I have to power it up (and it usually, but not always) comes back to where it was.
What should I expect, and are there settings that I can update to make it more closely have the same experience as my MacBook?

Latitude E7450 non-functional USB boot menu
I have a problem booting from a USB 3.0 card reader on my Dell Latitude E7450 laptop.
A card reader in question is Kingston FCR-HS4 (idVendor=11b0, idProduct=6368), it has 4 scsi-type sub-devices for card slots.
BIOS doesn't identify the sub-devices making impossible to select a slot to boot using F12 boot menu on my laptop.
When I select a "USB Device" to boot (a card reader), it responds "Selected boot device failed. Press any key to reboot the system."
This behaviour is not OK having in fact my other Asus laptop with American Megatrends bios, that makes possible selection of a card slot to boot using same card reader, exactly as shown on this screenshot:
I seriously think that lack of such functionality for a business line laptop is not nice and this issue should be reconsidered.
My BIOS version is A16.

Latitude E7450 - can't change Intel ME password
I have bought a new Dell Latitude E7450 laptop and tried to access MEBx.
On the first launch it asks me a password (which is 'admin') and then forces me to change it.
When I enter a new password, I get an error telling "Error applying new password".
I am unable to change the password, thus can't access Intel ME settings on my laptop.
What should I do?
My bios version is A16.

XPS 13 9350 won't boot, screen black
The three little power lights come on (on the cord plug, on the I/O button, on the front bezel) but nothing else happens. No heat, no screen, no bios options (F2, F12). Battery indicator shows it has charge. It only went off warranty coverage 4 months ago. Do I have to buy a dock to see if it will boot on an external monitor? Or is there another possible way to revive it?

Windows 10 image file is corrupt
I've been trying for 3 days to download the Windows 10 iso file from the Support page. When I try to run the program to make a bootable usb I get a message that the file is corrupt. I need to do a clean install, although every test I've run says that everything is fine, my computer is still running like ***, Chrome won't load, and Office 16 has started having pop-up windows. If I can't get a clean copy, then I'll buy a new copy of Win 10 and start over from scratch, but it would be really nice to have DELL original.

Dell E7470 constant bitlocker recovery key after a reboot or shutdown. Happens with dock and no dock.
I tried the following:

downgrade TPM 2.0 to 1.2
clear TPM
decrypt and encrypt C:
This are windows 8 and 10 Ent.
is there a real fix that works? please help

9550 XPS suddenly goes off while sleeping after unplug AC
Dear everyone,
Do you guys know what is this error ? It's really annoying everytime I closed the lid , the PC goes sleep. I unplug put it on my back.
And then when i open it after, everything is disappear. The computer starts by itself without push the start button.

Inspiron 7720 random sudden battery failure
Hi,
Whenever I'm using my dell on battery, the battery randomly fails aka complete shutdown of my pc, even when it was fully charged. I noticed that it occurs the most when I boot up a game or want to shutdown my pc the safe way. But also just at random moments.
This is really annoying, my computer is now dependent of its charger.
