My wife has (had?) a 4 year old N5010 Inspiron. The harddisk on it went bad and is currently at the Geek Squad to recover whatever can be recovered. Bought a new computer to replace it.
However I do not mind getting a newer laptop (use now a XP desktop) for myself, so while the Geeks were taking the HD out I had them replace it with a 120GB SS-HD. That capacity should be enough for my purpose and was reasonable priced.
When I boot with the System backup it stops and tells me I need at least a 296GB (?) HD. The old HD was 300+GB.
Please help to get the system restore on the smaller SSD.
