HELP PLEASE! I have an 8yo Dell Inspiron 9300 that I have been able to keep running quite well up until this past Sat. (4/27/2013). It was just "idling" w/screen saver running and I got a dreaded BSOD (I've not seen a BSOD in over 1+yr's) - see below... Then when i tried to reboot, I got the second & more ominous BSOD (see below). Here are the 2 BSOD's & their STOP Codes:

1st BSOD - Occurred while PC was idle & screen saver running:

KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR

STOP: 0x0000077 (0xC000000E, 0x000000E, 0x00000000, 0x03BB0000)

2nd BSOD - Got this one after I rebooted the PC following the 1st BSOD...& now I get this BSOD EVERY time I boot it!!:

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

STOP: 0x000000ED (0x8AFCD590, 0x0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I have tried everything I know how to try, but cannot get it to boot...  Crying

I have searched extensively online & found an enormous flood/variety of info about this error, but haven't had any luck.

I have seen conflicting info about the ultimate diagnosis/prognosis of my PC that varies from my drive 'might' be recoverable if the problem is just a corrupt BOOT.INI file & might be fixable if I can boot w/XP install CD's & use Recovery Console to run CHKDSK /R and/or FIXBOOT command(s)...all the way to the other extreme that I'm basically SOL b/c the drive is GONE & beyond repair...

I am DESPERATE to get it working... Here is some more info about my issue & what I have tried...

1) I CAN'T boot my PC no matter what I try: Normal or Safe Boot, etc.

2) I can't find the Win-XP CD's that came w/my Dell Inspiron 9300.

3) Even if I did have the CD's, my CD/DVD drive is unreliable & does NOT work 95-98% of the time!

4) Obviously it is seriously OUT OF WARRANTY (LOL!), so I'm not sure what help (if any) I can get from Dell tech Support.

So, I am hoping against hope that I can at least get it to boot one more time so I can get a FULL backup & then I won't have to worry about it any more b/c I have a wonderful brand new MacBook Air (that is WAY MORE RELIABLE than my PC could ever dream of being, I'm afraid…). Is there any hope for my situation?? Does anyone out there have any ideas about what I can try, etc.? Pretty please...? Crying
