Charging my battery on “desktop mode” / Dell XPS

Hi everybody,

I’m currently using mi Dell XPS as my main computer, and since I can’t remove the battery I’ve recently tried charging my battery in desktop mode, which apparently will charge it’s battery between 50% and 100%.

I just wanted to know if it‘s a safe option for my battery since I intend to leave my computer connected at all times, I can’t afford to disconnect it each time it gets fully charged. Do you think I will damage my battery life?

Another thing,

According to what I’ve read, I should see my battery varying from 50 to 100% at all times in desktop mode. In my case it goes to 100% and it stays there. Is this normal? Am I damaging my battery life?

Generaly I leave my pc plugged in for 8 hours, then when I go to sleep, or take it outside, I unplug it.

Thanks for answering, I’m quite concerned

Thanks in advance
