The power jack is working properly. The computer always acknowledges when the AC adapter is plugged into the power jack. Nothing intermmitent here. Sometimes it will charge. Sometimes it will tell me that I have an unknown AC adapter plugged in and to plug in a Dell 65 W adapter or larger. It's as if the computer thinks it has enough power from the AC adapter to power the computer, but not enough to power the computer and charge the battery simultaneously..This AC adapter is a genuine Dell 65 W unit. I've ordered a genuine Dell 90W unit which should hopefully cure this problem.
