Why there are no drivers for this laptop since it is Ubuntu branded ( it is for sale that way)? There is a sticker on it showing it supports Ubuntu. Now I can not use the additional video card (Nvidia 850m) I can not reach the sensors (temperature, fan RPMs , etc) , no display drivers ( I can not adjust the brightness to max) and so on.
I am using Ubuntu 15.04 and if there is no prompt responce this will be my 2nd great dissapointment from Dell - I have dead m5030 with 7 beeps ( I am sure that you are aware for this issue with this model. there is huge correspondence in the forum from maaaany people who are in the same situation with no adequate responce from Dell). My initial idea was to buy laptop which is Ubuntu supported because I am Linux user.
in ubuntu proprietary drivers I see only WiFi and Intel Video driver.
I have already tried to install driver from Nvidia.com but there was alert that there is no Nvidia card on this laptop.
I didnt see any Linux drivers in the website! Why do you sell Ubuntu branded Dell laptops then?!
Should I regret buying Dell again?!
I will expect answer in prompt time ( or to receive Windows license from yourside, because I am not buying Ubuntu laptop to pay for Windows also) !
Also if I switch to virtual temrminal (ctrl alt f1) the screen start to ficking, restart - still fricking, shutdown (holding power button) - still flicking ?!?!?!?!?!? removing batery - solve the problem. What is this??? On brand new laptop ????
