Out of the 9 or so laptops I've purchased from Dell, this is probably the worst laptop I have ever purchased. There are too many issues with this laptop.
First off because of the poor design of the laptop with its hinges, the plastic breaks very easily on the right side, as noticed by the numerous threads on this forum.
Back to the original problem: I was on the laptop and heard a small popping sound and started smelling like burnt plastic. The laptop went black and turned off. I looked around to see where the smell was coming from. The smell was coming from the laptop and the power brick.
I tested the power brick and it's completely dead as well.
I am out of warranty.
