I bought an adaptor which plugs the cord from the SK-8110 desktop keyboard in a USB port on the Inspiron laptop. When I plug it into the USP port the lights flash briefly on the SK-8110 keyboard but the laptop does not recognize the keyboard.
I have been told that the PS2 keyboard drivers are native to windows so there is no driver I can install on the laptop to get it to work. Can I safely try to use the Windows XP Devices and Drivers installation CD from the desktop to try to install the keyboard onto the laptop which is running windows 7 64 bit?
What is the worst that could happen?
Thank you!.
