I just purchased my laptop less than a week ago. First two days the touchscreen worked fine. When I went out of town, I shut down the laptop and it had a Windows update. I powered up my laptop again a day or two later and noticed the laptop touch screen didn't work. I tried shutting down and restarting the computer with no change. I updated Windows again. No change. I looked in the Control Panel and no touch screen driver is listed in the Device Manager. I did a search for calibrating and the results are only for color calibration and not touch and tablet calibration. I tried locating the touch screen driver on the Dell website but could not find it. I am assuming the simple fix is finding the driver and reinstalling it - at least I'm hoping so. So frustrating.
