Hello:
I bought a new Inspiron 13-inch (model i7347-7550sLV) 2-in-1 on Friday at Office Depot. The device itself has been a dream until I closed the lid today. Now, I had no doubt in my mind that I closed the lid with a completely reasonable amount of force. However, the lid disagreed as to how reasonable that amount of force was... as the screen has cracked quite a bit.
So my question is: how should I approach getting this fixed or replaced? Should I be going to Office Depot first? Or should I contact Dell directly? And should I expect any sort of manufacturer's warranty to apply to this? I'm completely sure that how I closed the lid should be within the normal range of what laptops endure on a regular basis.
I would really like not to have to buy a different laptop, as this once has been suiting my needs.
