Inspiron 1759

Hi folks,

Just got an Inspiron 5000 17.3" (model 5749).  Having two issues with the touchpad:

1) It rattles quite a bit, even if touched lightly.  Is this normal?

2) The scroll speed for the touchpad is extremely slow.  I'd like to speed it up but the dell drivers won't load (I've tried several times) and the windows precision touchpad drivers don't give me an option to adjust the scroll speed.
