Will a wireless docking station work with the E7450?

First, wow how annoying that Dell docking stations no longer charge the laptop battery.  LAME.

Second, I just bought an E7450 with the i5-5200U proc and the Intel AC 7265 wireless adapter.  I am looking at the various docking station options and am wondering if it will be possible to use the D5000 wireless dock or this other wireless dock (which oddly does not have a model number:  Manufacturer Part# : CTKM5 | Dell Part# : 452-BBUX )

If I get a wireless dock, do I need to upgrade my wireless router to an AC model?  Or does the laptop and dock connect directly to each other, in ad hoc fashion?
