XPS 11 screen not flushed at the corners when closed

When I close the screen facing down, the corners are not flushed to the base, there is only contact at the middle. At times the right side is higher than the left when closed, but it can be fixed by pushing in the right hinge more. When closed with the screen facing up, it looks like the middle is higher. So the display looks like its curved a bit like convex or concave however you want to call it. Is this normal? This laptop is new. There is also two small indentations in the plastic molding around the screen above the camera and on the left side of the screen, what is this for?
