New to the Party

Just bought a used (working) XPS 12 9Q33 on Ebay, can't wait to see what it has in store for me re: IR. I'm betting it will rear its ugly head before long.

The Dell Service Tag shows the warranty expires May 14, so I better get busy with transferring the ownership and "arming" myself to contact Dell.

Huge sympathy to all who have dealt with this issue and big thanks to those who have shared their experiences here, for newcomers like me. I have read many of the posts, especially the last several pages of the recent ones, it's good to see some of you have gotten results, albeit perhaps temporarily.

For what it's worth, the Dell Support System Configuration of my not-yet-received XPS 12 shows a Dell part number of PG1KX for the "ASSEMBLY, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 12.5FHD, IN PLANE SWITCHING, AIR FORCE, 9Q33/4" and a part number of DXT07 for the "MODULE, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 12.5FHD, IN PLANE SWITCHING, FML, 9Q33/4". Googling those 2 product numbers didn't shed much light on the LCD panel manufacturer/model number, so I'll have to wait 'til it gets here to check Device Manager.

I'll probably go through DellCares on Twitter if I have the issue, I'm starting to organize a Support game plan, if anyone has other recommendations, I'm all ears, thanks!
