Hi,
I have a 4 year old Dell Inspiron 14R. The laptop had gone considerably slow in performance and I was planning to re-format it or re-install WIndows on it. I had also uninstalled some Software but that did not help. Going through the F8 press at startup and tried to go to the Dell factory image, however the screen said the same is corrupted and realised maybe the system needs to re-install Windows which I can do from the startup screen (Boot through CD).
Unfortunately my Windows 7 CD (original which came with the machine) is not being read by the system. In the meanwhile in normal mode, the system gives a blue screen crash dump with registry error post starting, taking in my credentials and getting to the main screen. I am however able to run this in safe mode with networking without getting the same error. I have tried to move to a previous system update, however that has not helped and it has not been able to undo the updates.
