Re: Skype Crashing

Hi KoolKid,

There is a possibility that any of the third party software on the computer might be conflicting SKYPE application. Request you to try following the below steps to determine the same:

(1) Click on start.

(2) Type msconfig in the search box and hit enter

(3) System configuration screen appears, select services tab

(4) Check the option where it says “Hide all Microsoft applications” and check disable all.

(5) Now check on the SKYPE option.

(6) Clicks on apply and ok.

(7) A restart now prompt will appear click ok.

(8) Once the computer restarts, please check if SKYPE works.

(9) If SKYPE doesn’t work then you will have to reinstall the operating system.

(10) But if SKYPE works, you will have try the above steps by checking each and every third party software one by one.

If any 3rd party applications are having issues with SKYPE you may want to uninstall/reinstall the application. Do reply with your answers.
