Dell Inspiron 14z n411z
Encountered this problem were post booting into Windows 7, before logon screen you get black screen with dots and bands. It does not fully boot into Windows 7.
It took me a lot of time to find this solution or work-around. It was not obvious or there aren't any listed for 14z n411z.
After days of repair, I zeroed it down to Display Graphic Driver (integrated Intel GPU).
When you have this type of a problem, it does boot into Safe Mode properly, get to safe mode by pressing f8 key intermittently. However, booting to Windows 7 normal gives you a black screen with dots and bands.
Solution or Workaround:
1.I was able to get into Safe Mode and disable Display Graphic Card drivers.
2.Then Windows 7 would automatically load Generic Drivers. The generic drivers generally work fine, not the best by like HD.
3.I have not tried restoring the drivers back to original yet. If I do, I will try to post update.
