Hi everybody, this is a long story but I bought a non working Dell M5030 laptop and restored it to working condition but unfortunately I then broke the black plastic clip which secures the ribbon cable to the connector on the mobo. A while later I bought a scrap M5030 but found that it had a different connector so no luck there ! It has been sitting around gathering dust for months and it is driving me crazy.
So, can ANYONE sell me the black plastic clip ? To be specific there are two types and this is the one where the "legs" pass inside the white connector. On the photos below you can see the connector missing the clip and the identical connector next to the keyboard connector which still has the clip. I have tried the obvious step of emailing Dell Support but received no reply.
