Hello All,
I have a Dell 15R 7520 with a broken screen. I've been using Windows 7 via external monitor.
In the process of setting up a dual boot (Centos 7 along side Win7), it was suggested that I update my BIOS. I checked with the Dell website which suggested updating to A11 (I was still using BIOS A02).
So I updated the BIOS to A11, went into BIOS setup, booted from the Centos installation USB which caused 2 or 3 kernel panics & the installation GUI crashed before I saved any changes/began the installation.
Now, the old Windows will not boot, it is still in USB boot priority, no surprises there but my external monitor(s) (VGA or HDMI) do not work and I can't change any BIOS settings!!
I have the sinking feeling that a UEFI setting is enabled somewhere (perhaps by default?)
I was hoping someone could give me "Blind" instructions from either bios setup or boot screen (both?) to make sure Legacy was set everywhere.
I don't much care what is in boot priority, I just need to be able to see what I'm doing :)
Thank you for considering this heinous pickle I'm in.
