This happened to me around 3 days ago, my laptop would not start up. It would load to the dell splash screen and the loading wheel would spin on and on. At points I waited so long, I just restarted it. Today it seems that I can finally start my computer although it takes 30 minutes to log in and load up.
Some things I took note of:
All functions with windows seem to be extremely slow. Ex: clicking on the start button, takes 10-30 seconds to go to the start screen.
Opening a folder takes 20 seconds before contents load.
On task manager, the disk usage is always 90%+.
On note of this I decided it was time to clean up my computer.
Things I have done:
-defrag
-disk cleanup
-scan and remove malware
-removed unwanted programs
-cCleaner
-advanced system care
-disabled unnecessary services on start up
-updated all drivers
On restart, it still lags insanely, a little better than before but I'm beginning to think its a hardware problem...can anyone help?
