Hello all - hope someone can be of assistance.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 on which I had done a factory restore a couple of years ago. Due to malware issues, I decided to do another factory restore a couple of days ago. (Note that I never deleted the recovery partition at any time in the past).
At first, I had problems accessing the "Restore Factory Setting" option using F8 but I finally located the screen with the various options to either restore to a recent point or do the factory restore.
Accordingly, I initiated the factory restore and after about 10 minutes, the computer just shut down. I powered it up again but now the system does not boot up. I can still access the F8 screen and all but the system does not do anything when I click the "Factory Restore" option again. It merely gives me the two buttons to either restart or shutdown the laptop.
Can anyone assist with this problem or how I can attain the desired factory restore?
