RAM upgrade question

Hi,

I am sure something like this has been asked before, but I didnt see anything when searching through the forum quick.

I am in the process of putting together a man cave.  I was planning on using my wife's old inspiron 1525 connected to a TV to stream ESPN Watch Live and other live streaming tv channels.  The model that I have has 2GB of RAM.  Unfortunately, as I try and stream live TV it jumps and skips.  Its so close, but annoying enough that I dont want to deal.  Would it work if I upgraded to 3 or 4 GB of RAM (I am using a 32 bit version of Vista and it has a Intel Celeron ) I dont want to spend a ton of money so I figured 40 bucks or so should be able to buy me some more RAM.

I guess the long and short of it is will it work?  Or should I just save up a little bit more and buy a refurbished tower?
