It's a week since I've been using the laptop, and I've noticed something couple of days ago, it had a problem when I closed the screen and opened it up later, I had to open and close it couple of times for screen to "come back" and for my laptop to continue working, from locked screen, but I thought it was nothing serious. That happened almost every time I closed the screen and opened it later...
Anyways, I did not shut down computer last night, just closed it, and when I opened it this morning it had the same problem, it started to boot up (I could hear the sound), with a quick white flash on the screen after which the screen "lost connection", completely blanked out, as if laptop was turned off, I just closed the screen and re-opened it, thinking it would turn on normally this time, but nothing. Even with blank screen, I could hear the murmurs of my laptop beneath where the turn on button lies. I closed the laptop and let it cool for a while. After half an hour or so, I tried it again, same results, then I force shut it down, and tried 15 minutes later to boot it up again, still nothing. I googled the issue and it seems quite some people have been experiencing similar problems with their various Inspiron models, and I tried their solutions, taking out the battery, "draining out" the AC by holding down the on button for 40-50-60 seconds, and trying to boot it up again afterwards, still, the same result.
However, after couple of tries, I notice that the beeping/clicking sound is always present before the computer fails to start up, and the sound is always the same, like a message for whoever knows how to troubleshoot these things, my laptop screaming out for help. It's two continuous clicks and after a brief interval, the third click. (Here's my interpretation of it in text: (**) (..) (..) (..) (..) (..) (*.) ) what does this imply?
Thank you for reading, and please let me know what to do. I have a deadline in 4 days and this laptop was my only chance of making it.
