My son dropped the laptop rather hard.
When it boots the message is checking media
No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot
I ran the diagnostics and the hard drive is not seen - "hard drive - not installed'
In the BIOS, under Main Heading I see
Fixed HDD (4073GB)
Not sure why it is not showing the brand/name and correct size - it is a 1TB drive.
I opened the laptop and removed the hard drive and reseeded and booted ,,
No luck.
As it boots, I can hear it making a strange start/stop click noise.
I think it is toast
Is it the drive or possibly something else?
