I bought from Dell a Vostro 3550 including a MS Office 2010 licence 3 years and half ago. The PC always worked fine but in the last few months its startup with Windows 7 Professional is getting slower and slower, while with Ubuntu (it is now a dual boot machine) performances continue to be good. So I decided to restore the original operating system from the recovery partition, but I'm not sure that this will restore not only Windows 7 Professional but also the legal and activated copy of MS Office I bought from Dell.
I was able to get with Belarc Advisor and similar tools the activation key for MS Office, but I would like to know if
- there are ways to check if in the recovery partition there is also what is required for restoring MS Office
- from you experience when Dell sells Ms Office with one of its PCs, MS Office is included in the recovery partition too
Last point: I went to Dell download center by providing my service tag / express service code, but MS Office is not in the list of software I can download for my PC.
Thanks in advance for any help
