Hello-
Two questions:
1. I am trying to upgrade RAM from 2*2 to 8*2. I installed PNY (PNY 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 CAS 11 Low Voltage (1.35V) Laptop Memory Kit). When I turned on the system, it would not boot and just beeped at me. I am going to try Crucial (Crucial 16GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Laptop Memory Kit (Two 8GB Memory Modules) as I think the latency of the PNY (11) is the issue. Not sure. The system worked fine after I replaced the OEM 2*2.
2. I am also trying to re-image the system from Win 8 to Win 7 enterprise while switching to an SSD (CPU sees SSD). The initial files load but then it freezes when the windows icon appears. Is it ok to boot from the optical drive? I know that I need to re-install drivers in order once the re-install is done.
Any advice appreciated!
