So, bought a Dell Inspiron 15" model 3542 about 6 months ago. My daughter informed me that the screen has a crack. I knew when I bought the laptop, it felt a little flimsy, but needed something inexpensive for web surfing and Word. Anyway, contacted Dell and it is not covered up warranty. Ok, so after dealing with that, I decide to authorize them fixing it. After being on the phone for ONE hour, yup an hour, they authorize my credit card and BINGO, NO FREAKING PART! The geniuses couldn't tell me that at the beginning? Anyway, anyone have any advice on how to proceed from here? Thanks!
