I have a Dell Inspiron N5010 which was given to a 12-year-old as a gift. He didn't make recovery disks, big surprise, and eventually, the OS, Win7, began failing to a blue screen consistently. I bought a recovery disk on eBay, but it was the wrong one, so the authentication fails. I didn't realize the OS code was tied to a particular version of the OS, my bad! I have looked up the configuration for this laptop on the Dell site, but am unable to tell from that which OS shipped with this laptop. Is there any way to do that? And, even if I'm way out of warranty, does Dell provide some way for me to get the recovery disk for this computer?
