Alienware 17 Rebuild question

Hello everyone, I recently had a hard drive failure on my M17.  I purchased two 850 Evo 1TB SSD drives to replace the bad one, and the second drive.  I have physically replaced them with no issues.  I installed win 8 on Drive 1, and drive 2 is a second partition.

I see that I have a liteon drive that is 80G and is set to RAID 0 (My system was set to RAID 0 before).  I believe the liteon was where my old install of windows lives, and would boot from.

I would like to have that be the case, where the liteon houses the windows install and boots from it, and the two 1TB drives are volumes on the system on their own.

When I start my system, I get an intel screen showing the 3 discs and the option to set up a new RAID set, remove a RAID set, or exit.  I'm not sure how the liteon can be in a RAID 0 by itself, but that's what it shows.

Mind you, I'm technical enough to be dangerous here, and no, my system isn't under warranty anymore unfortunately.

Knowing that I have the above, and drive 1 has the new install of windows on it, am I ok to back up data, remove the RAID set on the liteon, then reboot, format the drives, and install the os to the liteon, or, not having worked with this liteon option in the past, is there something special I have to do to install an OS to it, or will it just be seen as a drive option when I go to install it?

I feel like the laptop is stuck in their weird twilight zone state right now and I just don't know enough about the liteon drive, to use it correctly at the moment, so, I'm hobbling (well, not hobbling as it's a fast machine) along with drive 1 having the OS on it, and data, drive 2 having data, and the lite on just "there".

Thanks in advance,

S
