I have a Dell Inspiron 5521 with the following specifications-
1. Windows 8.1 single language (upgraded from windows 8 via the Windows store)
2. Intel core i7 3537U CPU
3. x64 based PC with 8 GB RAM
4. Intel HD Graphics 4000 and AMD Radeon HD 8500M 2GB Dedicated graphics
Since recently the laptop has been running very slow and even games like The Walking Dead which require 512MB RAM are not working. Also, the lag/slow system started after I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 via the Windows Store.
I have tried the following to resolve this issue-
1. Running Diagnostics at startup (pressing F12 on system startup); all tests passed
2. Installing a new AMD Radeon Driver from their website
3. Defragmented disc, ran a system check for viruses
I still can't make the laptop work faster.
I would appreciate any suggestions in resolving this issue.
