Hi, I have a dell Inspiron N411z, which does not come with a backlit keyboard. So, I did some research and found out that I could replace my keyboard with th PVDG3 keyboard and it would work great. I ordered a new one off of ebay and I just put it in. When I try to turn my computer on, the computer begins to start up, but then right before Windows starts, it shuts down. It does this four or five times before It eventually starts up. It works fine when the computer is started. I thought maybe that was a one time thing so I restarted my computer and it did the same thing. I even tried unplugging just the backlit cable, but it still did it. I put back in the old keyboard, and everything is back to normal. I am just wondering if I have a defective product or if i need to install some sort of driver? Any help would be great.
