Hi guys, I've got a Dell inspiron M5010R I bought 4 years ago but just last year it began playing up a lot. The screen began to flicker and eventually the back light would switch off.
I took it to a computer repair place and the guy said the motherboard was dying out. Many months later I tried to turn it on after not touching it for while and now whenever the laptop starts up it displays the windows logo load screen but after that it just goes blank. There's also a purple line at the bottom of the screen and the screen goes slightly fuzzy like an analogue tv with bad signal.
I've tried using a dvi and hdmi to plug it into my monitor but no luck. If it is infact my motherboard, can you guys recommend me a fix or replacement issue because at this point in time money is an issue.
