Hi
After the latest Windows 7 (64 bit) automatic updates, my Inspiron 14z refused to boot. I removed the HD and connected it to my desktop system and all the files and partitions are still all there, so I didn't lose any data. After backing up my data, I tried the F8 key at boot up to launch a recovery, it won't go into factory restore. I used a new HD and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 which installed OK, which basically means the laptop is ok and the problem is probably the boot sector of the original HD. However, the new install is very slow, is there something I need to do with the 32GB SSD? Or, do I still have hope with the original HD and can re-install the Dell Windows 7 build?
