I purchased a Dell Inspiron 17 (5748) which has an Intel® HD Graphics 4400 - max resolution 1600x900. It runs Windows 8.1 64bit. I intended to use it at our camera club meetings to project our pictures etc.
I immediately ran into a problem. I need the laptop to output at 1400x1050, which is the pixel dimensions of our images. This is not available in the Display / Adjust Resolution menu.
Our digital projector will only output at the resolution it receives, so it needs to receive 1400x1050 resolution.
As a result we had to go back to using our Dell Inspiron 9400 - max resolution 1920x1200. This will happily output at 1400x1050. It is however, 14 years old, and can't have much longer to live.
Is there any way to get the new laptop to output 1400x1050?
