Just a warning. If you have an opportunity to buy an extended warranty, do that before you get any warranty repairs done. When I purchased my XPS 12, I was offered the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty up until the time the initial 12 month warranty expired. Once I had the screen replaced under warranty, the option of extending the warranty disappeared as an available online option. I will call suport tomorrow an inquire as to that customer service policy.
I do not look forward to the second year of ownership if this screen turns out to be as bad as the first one. I will be looking at it really closely prior to my warranty ending in January.
