I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the fingerprint reader driver to fix the problem.
To uninstall follow the below steps:
- Click “Start”.
- Click “Control Panel” and select “Device Manager”.
- On the “Device Manager” window, expand Biometric Devices.
- Right click “Validity Sensor” and click “Uninstall”.
- Ensure to check the box “Delete driver software for this device”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the drivers.
- Restart the computer.
To reinstall the finger print driver follow the below steps:

- Once the download is completed, run the driver file.

- Restart the computer.

- Click “Continue”.
- Follow the on screen instructions to download the drivers and install it in the computer.
- Restart the computer to save changes.
