change from windows 8 to windows 7

Hi,

I already have a dell 7720 laptop purchase, its with windows 8 delivered in US. I am in India and a friend will get it for me to India a week.

But I have only now discovered that majority of my programs are not compatible with windows 8. I would like to have windows 7. I have read that its possible to go back only if I have windows 8 professional. Is it possible for dell to send me windows 7 and drivers for the laptop if I make a payment for the same.
