DELL-Chinmay S

Hi lahi,

From the symptoms above, most likely it appears to be an issue with operating system of your computer. You may uninstall and re-install the drivers by following the steps in previous post. In case you are not able to locate the 'Device Manager', you may press Windows key + R --> Type ‘devmgmt.msc’ --> Hit Enter and then follow the steps.

In reference to system overheating issues, you may use a can of compressed air to clean the vents. Before you clean the air vents of system:

  1. Turn off the System.
  2. Unplug the AC Adapter.
  3. Remove the Battery.

For more information on cleaning the vents, please visit the following link: http://dell.to/SAep59 Once you clean the air vents, check if you face the same issue after that.

If the issue persists, you can update the BIOS to latest version.

Note: Make sure the ac adapter is connected and the battery is charged 10% or above to update the BIOS. Also, disconnect all the external peripherals before updating the BIOS. All the programs should be closed and documents saved.

Link to download BIOS: http://dell.to/QjjZDA

Enter the Service Tag of your computer --> select the operating system --> Go to “BIOS” --> Download and install by following onscreen instructions and check if the issue persists.

In reference to your query on creating recovery media, you do that on either USB storage device or DVD's.

Please share the findings.
