Unplug your power adapter and remove your battery from its slot. Once done, press and Hold the Power button on your laptop for a minimum 30 seconds.
afterwards re-insert your 'battery only' without connecting the adapter and power on your laptop. This will take care of any static build up in your system. 
This fixed 3/4 amber 1 white issue for me!
