Though you are saying that the 11.1v battery is compatible with inspiron 1440, when I check for battery types for inspiron 1440 in the dell website it doesn't list this kind of battery in the list.
Do you know anyone who has tried replacing the battery for inspiron 1440 with the 11.1V battery?
what was their experience?
